After their shock midweek win over The New Saints, the Cofis saw their six-game unbeaten run come to an end when the Robins visited The Oval.

Hari Thomas gave away a penalty in the 14th minute for a foul on Jason Oswell in the box, but the Caernarfon keeper made amends when he saved Zeli Ismail's spot kick.

Barely a minute later, another lapse saw Thomas rush out of his area to clear the ball as it was passed to Josh Lock, who struck into an empty net.

Newtown were 2-0 up by the hour mark when Callum Roberts volleyed the ball over Thomas, before Caernarfon hit back when a Oswell handball led to a penalty, duly converted by Louis Lloyd.

But the Cofis were unable to find a way back as they slipped to a first defeat in five.

Bangor 1876 3-4 Denbigh Town

Bangor found themselves on the back foot after just eight minutes when Nathan Brown fired the visitors in front on his 28th birthday, before Owen Davies doubled the lead on 17 minutes.

Bangor were level by the hour mark with Tom Clarke and Mason Blackwell-Jones scoring either side of the break, only for Denbigh to regain the lead via sub Paul Fleming midway through the second half.

Jon Culshaw looked to have earned a point for the hosts when he struck a loose ball, but in the fifth minute of added time, another Denbigh sub Harrison Bellis condemned the Nantporth side to back-to-back defeats.
