School children are trying their hand at becoming young entrepreneurs by creating their own merchandise.
Ysgol Henblas in Llangristolus recently took delivery of new professional printing and heat pressing equipment.
It was brought from Nova Chrome - a family-run business based in Mona that has specialised in the personalised gift industry for more than forty years.
Pupils will use the new printer, heat press and mug press, presented by local businessman Tony Pritchard, to create their own mugs, key rings, fridge magnets and coasters to help raise money for the school.
Huw Jones, headteacher at Ysgol Henblas, said: "As a local businessman and former school governor, Mr Pritchard, has been a friend to the school for many years."
"He visited us last year to talk to the children about the old Ysgol Henblas and show them photos of how the building was transformed into homes as part of their classwork."
"We're hugely grateful to Mr Pritchard and Nova Chrome for their kindness and these fantastic gifts. The pupils can't wait to get started on their new venture."
"Members of our school council and its entrepreneurship group are already thinking of what we can create as special Christmas merchandise!"
To help pupils with their new venture, Nova Chrome has agreed to visit the schools to provide free training sessions.
Four pupils - Ioan, Begw, Lili and Catrin - have already been shown how to use the equipment and were presented with their own personalised goodies by the firm's technical manager, Ian McDowall.
Cllr Nicola Roberts, who joined fellow Cefni ward councillor Geraint Bebb, at the unveiling, said: "We were delighted to join the pupils and Mr Pritchard at Nova Chrome last week."
"It was great to see the smiles on their faces as they produced their own personalised mugs – with their photos and Ysgol Henblas logo printed on them. This was a lovely gesture from Mr Pritchard and Nova Chrome, and we're very grateful."
