A 20ft yacht with one person on board was rescued after it suffered a broken tiller near Puffin Island.
The RNLI at Beaumaris was called out by the Coastguard at around 6.25am on Sunday morning.
They navigated through the Lavan Sands safely before reaching the stranded vessel two miles south of Puffin Island.
Following an assessment by the helmsman and one of the volunteer crew, it was decided the boat should be towed to the nearest point of safety.
It was taken back to Beaumaris Pier where members of the Penmon mobile coastguard team had arrived to assist.
A RNLI Beaumaris spokesman said: "The yacht crew did the correct thing in alerting the coastguard to their predicament. This meant our volunteer lifeboat crew were able to reach the casualty quickly, assess the situation and take the best course of action to prevent the situation worsening."
