Six men have been charged after a herd of cattle was stolen from a farm near Llanerchymedd.
Fourteen cows were taken from a shed on the outskirts of the village in December 2022.
Rural crime detectives said a number of raids had taken place, including two farms in the Stoke on Trent area the following April, where the stolen cattle was found, along with a tractor and a quad bike.
Four men from North Wales and two from Staffordshire and Warwickshire have been charged with consipracy to commit a burglary with intent to steal. They are:
- Liam Kettleborough (29) of Church Lawford, Rugby, Warwickshire
- Daniel Jones (30) Llannerchymedd, Anglesey.
- Jack Billington (22) of Rossett, Wrexham.
- Michael McLeod (55) of Higher Kinnerton, Flintshire.
- Stanley Jones (26) of Pentre Broughton, Wrexham.
- Clifford Smith (64) of Stoke on Trent
All six defendants are due to appear at Caernarfon Magistrates Court on April 3rd.
North Wales Police said the lengthy investigation was supported by its drone unit, along with colleagues from Cheshire Police and the National Construction and Agriculture Theft Team.
