Road closures will be in place for next week's Menai Bridge Fair.

Anglesey Council has confirmed arrangements for the traditional street funfair, which is being held on Thursday 24th October.

Telford Road, Bridge Street, Wood Street and Water Street will close to traffic from 2pm on Wednesday 23rd until 7am on Friday 25th October with a signposted diversion in place.

The car parks on Wood Street and Llys Menai will be occupied by the fair from midnight on Wednesday 23rd until 7am the following Friday.

Parking will be available at the council-run Bulkley and Coed Cyrnol car parks. The Waun car park is independently run.

All buses will stop at Rhyd Menai on Holyhead Road on Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th October.

Loading and unloading restrictions will be in place on Dale Street, High Street and parts of Cadnant Road from 23 October to 7am on 25 October.

A council spokesperson said: "This traditional street fair has been enjoyed for generations. Come along to experience the rides, stalls and atmosphere of the fair."

"Inevitably, as the fair is a street event, there will be some disruption within the town. The following arrangements have been put in place to minimise disruption and to ensure that everyone can enjoy a safe experience."
