A farmer who caused unnecessary suffering to his cattle has walked free from court.
Animal health officers found several dead cattle and cattle at Daniel Jones' farm in Llanerchymedd.
Others had to be put down because they were emaciated and dehyrated.
Jones, was given a suspended sentence after he pleaded guilty to a number of charges, including failing to dispose animal by-products, failing to identify cattle and failing to keep veterinary medicine records.
Caernarfon Crown Court heard Jones had neglected his duties when the offences took place between January 2023 and April 2024.
A joint investigation was carried out alongside veterinary experts from the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA)
He was given a 12-month sentence, suspended for 18 months, and ordered to pay £8,000 to Anglesey Council.
He must also carry out 120 hours of unpaid work and undergo 16 months of rehabilitation.
Following sentencing on Thursday, Cllr Nicola Roberts, the member for public protection at Anglesey Council, said: "This sentence comes following an extensive investigation conducted by our animal health officers."
“We believe that this prosecution and sentence demonstrates that this type of criminal behaviour will not be tolerated.”
