A Caernarfon man has been sent to a young offenders institute after fighting broke out among fans during a Cymru Premier match.
One man was treated in hospital for serious injuries violence broke out during the league fixture between Flint Town United and Caernarfon Town in April last year.
The televised match at the Cae-y-Castell was abandoned during the first half and replayed behind closed doors.
Twelve people, aged between 15 and 42, appeared before magistrates in Caernarfon and Mold last week charged in connection with the disorder.
Police arrested three people at the scene of the disturbance and went onto identify further suspects during an extensive investigation.
At Caernarfon Crown Court, Jamie Griffiths (18) of Ffordd Maes Barcer, Caernarfon, was sentenced to nine months in a young offenders institute for violent disorder.
Luke Hughes (35) of Cae Mur, Caernarfon, was sentenced to a 12-month long community order.
Cai Ditchburn (26) of Contsantine Road, Caernarfon, was given a nine-month prison sentence suspended for eighteen months.
Two Flint men were also jailed - Simon Davies (42) was sentenced to 20 months in prison and Jack Davies (21) was sentenced to eleven months in a young offenders institute.
All five men were also banned from attending any football matches under FBO orders ranging from three to six years. They could face a fine or a six-month jail sentence if they breach the orders.
Seven boys, all aged under 18 who cannot be named for legal reasons, were ordered to pay costs of £226 each and referred to the Flintshire Youth Offender Panel for between four and eight months.
After sentencing at Caernarfon Crown Court on Friday, DC Donna Vernon of North Wales Police, who led the investigation, said: "The behaviour and violence of the men sentenced today was completely unacceptable."
"Disorder of this kind has no place at a football match, nor anywhere else within our communities. The sentences imposed reflect the serious and violent nature of the incident at Flint’s ground earlier this year."
"We thank the public for their help in identifying those involved, following our appeal for information and our wider investigation."
“The football banning orders issued today will also restrict their access to attend future matches. It demonstrates our determination to pursue prosecutions to get justice for victims, and it shows that violence has no place in football."
