Work has begun on a new affordable housing development in Bangor.
Ten properties are being built on the site of the former Ysgol Babanod Coed Mawr, which closed in 2018.
Cyngor Gwynedd says it forms part of their "ambitious" scheme to tackle the county's housing shortage.
Another Tŷ Gwynedd project is already underway in Llanberis, with the council aiming to create around a thousand affordable homes by 2027 as part of its housing action plan.
Cllr Craig ab Iago, cabinet member for housing, said: "This project is a crucial part of my vision...to ensure that we provide the basic human right of affordable and suitable homes for the residents of Gwynedd."
"I'm extremely pleased to see the work on these houses getting started to provide houses for local people."
"The need for affordable housing is growing rapidly across the country, and this demand will only intensify as the cost-of-living crisis affects more people."
Six houses with three bedrooms and four houses with two bedrooms will be built, designed to meet the needs of local people - particularly those who find it difficult to buy or rent, buy may not qualify for social housing.
Work on the scheme is expected to be completed by the spring of 2026.
Cllr ab Iago added: "I encourage anyone who is interested in what this scheme has to offer to visit the Tai Teg website to see if they are eligible to register with Tai Teg for an affordable house."
